Park Scholarships:

The Park Scholarships program gives exceptional students based on outstanding accomplishments and potential in scholarship, leadership, service, and character a Full four year Scholarship at North Carolina State University.

The program develops and supports Park Scholars in these areas, preparing them for lifelong contributions to the campus, state, nation, and world.

The origin of Park Scholarships:

It is named for the late Roy H. Park of the charitable Park Foundation. Grants from the foundation established the Park Scholarships program in 1996. It now provides a superb educational opportunity for exceptionally talented and well-prepared stuents who merit the intellectual challenge of a distinguished faculty and a superior university.

To date, 17 classes of Park Scholars have graduated and have built a vibrant alumni network. Approximately 35 scholarships will be awarded this year to outstanding, exceptional high school seniors for undergraduate study in any discipline at NC State.

The Park Scholarship includes:

  • Four-year scholarship valued at up to $111,000 in-state and up to $195,000 out-of-state, including tuition and fees.
  • Room and board, books and supplies, travel, and personal expenses
  • Grants to fund professional and personal enrichment experiences, such as research projects, service activities, and conferences in the United States and abroad

Carolina Panthers Scholarship Fund:

Established in 1997 to encourage college athletes to pursue graduate study. The Fund provides graduate-level scholarships to athletes in North and South Carolina on the basis of leadership, citizenship and academic merit.

Scholarships are awarded to one male and one female student-athlete on the basis of leadership, community service and academic merit. Applications are considered from candidates who are residents of Mecklenburg County in North Carolina and Spartanburg County in South Carolina.

The Carolina Panthers also award two $10,000 Graduate Scholarships each year to outstanding student-athletes who have completed their undergraduate work and are seeking support for their graduate level studies. Scholarships are awarded to one male and one female student-athlete in North Carolina or South Carolina on the basis of leadership, citizenship and academic merit.
