Every year visitors millions of visitors go to Greece to spend time at the country’s beautiful beaches and reliable sunny summer weather, its nightlife, historical sites and natural beauty which is all over Greece.

More than 90 percent of visitors who go to Greece originate from other European countries. In the last few years there have been growing numbers of tourists from other world regions. The majority of tourists arrive during the summer season.

Most of Greece has a warm Mediterranean climate, almost identical to California. Summers are very hot and dry with over 7 months constant sunshine. The off season is relatively cold and rainy which usually starts around November and ends around the end of March.

The warmest time of the year is in July and August. It sometimes gets so hot that most Greeks avoid heavy outdoors work in the early afternoon until early evening when it begins to cool.

Greece has more than 6,000 islands. And of these approximately 230 of these are inhabited by towns and communities with spectacular views of the Aegean sea and Mediterranean

-The holiday islands situated to the west include Corfu, Lefkas, Kefalonia and Zante
The popular Crete located in the south.

-The Cyclades (more windy and adventurous) in the central Aegean includes Mykonos and Santorini and
to the east is the Dodecanese including islands Rhodes, Kos, Symi and Patmos.

-The Sporades group to the north-east includes Skiathos and
the north; Samos, Lesvos and Thassos.

-The most popular islands have their own airport and tourist attractions while some of the smaller islands are accessible by domestic ferries

-Many major cruise ships visit the islands and there is also the option of hiring your own boat from any main harbor, so a great way to see all those islands is by boat.
